Beaches

Plage de la Roquille (Roquille Beach)

La Roquille Beach is located northeast of the center of Cap d'Agde and its port, and close to the mini-port and the La Roquille basin. This sandy beach extends to Môle Beach, along a pleasant pedestrian promenade (there is also a cycle path). This beach is divided into two areas. The northernmost part is supervised in summer with a lifeguard station and access for people with reduced mobility. This is the most pleasant area for swimming. Toward Môle Beach, there is a wilder beach with rocks and a few trees in the background. However, swimming is impossible because there are many rocks in the water (on the edge).

Plage du Môle (Môle Beach)

Môle Beach is located north of the seaside resort, near the port and Fishermen's Island. The most interesting area is near the port at the double cove. In this part, the beach is wide and there are many shops. In the center of the beach, at the seawall, there is a lifeguard station open during the summer season. There is also access for people with reduced mobility. Heading north, towards Roquille Beach, the beach becomes narrower and wilder. However, swimming becomes very difficult due to the presence of numerous rocks in the water.

Plage des Falaises (Falaises Beach)

Falaises Beach is located between Mole Beach and Grande Conque Beach at the beginning of the cliffs area. This sand and gravel beach is less crowded than the larger beaches of Cap d'Agde. It offers a less touristy environment with the presence of black volcanic rocks and cliffs on the left. From here, you can also have a panoramic view of the Cap d'Agde coast, unique due to the presence of cliffs (rare in the Hérault department). Access is via a few stairs on the left. There is a car park nearby.

Plage de la Grande Conque (Grande Conque Beach)

Grande Conque Beach is located between Plagette and Plage du Mole on the cliffs of Cap d'Agde. With its high volcanic cliffs and gray sand, this beach in Cap d'Agde is the most original and offers a wild setting for a beach close to the city center. Access is via stairs dug into the cliff. Although it is sought after, you can usually find a place to lay your towel even in the middle of summer (about 200 meters long). The easiest way to access this beach is to park in the Fortin car park and then follow the path along the seaside (5 minutes' walk). The beach is indicated by signs.

La Plagette (Small beach)

The small beach is located on the left bank of the port near Grande Conque. This small sandy beach offers a pleasant setting with the beginning of the cliffs of Cap d'Agde on the left and the port on the right. Along the pedestrian promenade, there are a few restaurants. There is also an underwater trail on this beach. At the cliff level, there is a sort of small cove accessible only by crossing the sea. Several parking lots are located nearby.

Plage de Richelieu (Richelieu Beach)

Richelieu Beach is located west of the seaside resort, on the right bank of the Port near the Richelieu district. This long sandy beach stretches for over a kilometer. There are several private beaches as well as numerous water activities (pedal boats, buoys, etc.) as well as a children's playground. The beach is bordered by a pleasant pedestrian promenade. On the left, you will find the Cap d'Agde nautical center, which is attached to the port. Two access points are provided for people with reduced mobility (Richelieu East and Richelieu West). To get to this beach, follow the signs for this Richelieu beach. There are three parking lots (P1 on the west side, P2 in the center, and P3 on the east side - the latter is the largest).

Plage de Rochelongue (Rochelongue Beach)

Rochelongue Beach is located west of the center of the Cap d'Agde seaside resort, on the edge of Grau d'Agde, next to Richelieu Beach. It has three sandy coves protected by small dikes for about 800 meters. This beach is bordered by a pleasant pedestrian promenade and the Rochelongue district, where all amenities are located. At the tip of Rochelongue (west side), there is a final, wilder cove. To get to this beach by car, follow the signs for the Mail de Rochelongue. There is parking at the Mail roundabout and parking on Rue Raffanel.

Plage de la Baie de l'amitié (Baie de l'amitié Beach)

Baie de l'Amitié Beach is located west of the seaside resort between the Rochelongue district and St Vincent du Grau beach in Agde. It features a beautiful stretch of sand, with lifeguards in the central part during the summer. Several private beaches are available, with mattress rentals and restaurants. At the back of the beach, there's a beach volleyball court. The ends are quieter. The beach is wide enough on the Rochelongue point (and fairly quiet). To get to this beach, there are three parking lots. The first is on the Chemin des Dunes and the other two are on the Chemin du Littoral.
